The Charlottesville Human Rights Commission, through the Community Engagement Committee, is seeking public input ahead of a public meeting to be held via Zoom on Thursday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m.
The HRC Community Engagement Committee views this Town Hall as an opportunity for community members to publicly discuss a human rights issue of common concern. As an advisory body to the Charlottesville City Council, the Human Rights Commission can draw council’s attention to systemic and political human rights concerns and advocate for positive change. .
Until February 28, members of the public can help the CHR’s Community Engagement Committee select a topic for the town hall by completing the survey available at this link: Human Rights Commission Town Hall Survey of man
The Community Engagement Committee will review the information collected through the public survey to select a priority topic for the public meeting. Once a topic is selected, the town hall meeting and agenda will be publicly posted on the city’s website calendar with a link for members of the public to join and participate in the discussion.
